What joy it is to know Jesus. Do you know him?
Mark Barnes has
posted on the Internet a sublime video presentation set to S.M. Lockridge's My King. Watch and be ready to exclaim with Lockridge, That's My King!
If you’re not
already familiar
with S M Lockridge’s
My King - then you
should be! He simply
speaks for seven
minutes about Jesus
Christ, but it’s
impossible not to
listen without
responding in
heartfelt praise.
Last summer I put
together a video: a
combination of
Lockeridge’s words,
with some images
that I hope will add
to the power of his
message. I’ve been
encouraged to share
the video - so have
uploaded it here. If
you’re looking for a
video to inspire you
in your Christian
faith, or a video to
show before the
sermon in a Sunday
service in church,
or just something to
remind you how God
is worthy of our
praise, then this
might be just the
thing.
Just click the play
button if you can
see it below (there
are higher quality
versions
further down the
page). It might
take up to 20
seconds to buffer
before anything
actually starts to
play.
Editor's note: Click play in the center of the screen. For
dial-up users, it'll be a bit choppy. Just let it play till the end. Might
take awhile. After it finishes, press play again for smoother stream.
A variety of formats are available depending
on how patient you are downloading! Files
are now available in Quicktime format for
Mac users, and in various formats for
portable devices (if in doubt, try the iPod
video format). As requested in the comments,
I’ve now made files easier to download, just
click on the links below:
A note about
copyright:
I’ve tried to
establish the
copyright status
of the audio,
but have been
unable to trace
the original
copyright
holder. Bearing
that in mind, I
am happy for
anyone to freely
distribute the
video itself,
though you may
not make a
charge for it. I
will of course
honour the
original
copyright
holder’s wishes
should they
contact me.
It’s now possible to buy the DVD of this video from Lulu for around $8+shipping. Please note that I don’t make any money out of this, and you don’t get anything extra that you can’t download from this site for free (except for a nice plastic DVD case!). The option is there just for people who can’t create their own DVDs.
Please note
Please note that there are about eight seconds of blank video at the beginning and end. If you’re showing the video to a large group, it helps you make sure everything is ready before it actually starts!
Due to popular demand, I’ve added a file that will create a DVD for you (if you have a DVD writer in your computer). If you have a copy of Nero or Roxio, you should be able to just double-click on the downloaded file and follow the prompts. If you don’t have a program that already handles .ISO files, you can download MagicISO for free, then follow these instructions (scroll down to number 7).
A note about copyright: I’ve tried to establish the copyright status of the audio, but have been unable to trace the original copyright holder. Bearing that in mind, I am happy for anyone to freely distribute the video itself, though you may not make a charge for it. I will of course honour the original copyright holder’s wishes should they contact me.
"Jesus' blood on the altar
was the ultimate payment. He made us worthy permanently. When Jesus died on the
cross the veil covering the Holy of Holies tore in half. The mercy seat lay exposed to mankind. There is no veil, anymore, between God and man.
Jesus ripped it down. But Mormonism has hung up a new one." -Kathleen Baldwin
"When I was LDS (not that long
ago) I saw a lot of things that made me question my membership in the LDS
church, but I sure wouldn't admit it for a long time (not even to myself). I
just knew there had to be good explanations for all of those silly criticisms,
if I just looked in the right place...or prayed about it long enough. I was
wrong." - Former Mormon, Marsha Bette
