Like LDS theology, this page is a work in progress.

Do Mormons become Gods over their own planets?

Barry, an LDS missionary at Mormon.org, makes it know that it's true that Mormon men become Gods over their own planets. After Barry tried to help me understand something "hard to grasp," I bore him God's testimony that only God is God: Isaiah 43:10. Barry had to run after that.

If you're thinking of joining the LDS church, be informed. Ask many questions. Barry admits that the "deep doctrines" aren't readily available even to average Mormons.

Ask yourself if you want to be involved with a "church" that hides its beliefs from its own members. Healthy Christian churches don't hide their beliefs. Find a Bible believing church that doesn't pretend that the gospel of Jesus Christ is so esoteric that it's "hard to grasp." Avoid churches whose doctrines can only be understood after long periods of indoctrination.

Heavenly Father is the only Heavenly Father?

A representative of the LDS church, Milika, states s/he's never heard, according to LDS theology, that God the Father had a father and his father before him and so on. (Give him/her a break in the video below. English might be a second language.)

Mormon theologians have taught and continue to teach the concept of Eternal Progression, i.e. God having a God and his God before him. The LDS doctrine of Eternal Progression finds its roots in the founder of the Mormon religion, Joseph Smith, Jr.

How Did God Become God? and Examining the LDS concept of Eternal Progression

The LDS doctrine of men becoming Gods just as all Gods before them isn't an obscure doctrine among LDS. Rather, it's at the core of LDS belief. How come Milika doesn't know? What will happen when Milika finds out the rest of the Mormon story?

Does God have a God and a grandfather God? Mormon.org chat with Pauline and friends - 8.26.09

In this five-minute desktop video, a basic question is examined. Does Mormonism believe in multiple deities and if God has a God and a grandfather God and a great-grandfather God and so on?

In the end, they had to run off. I suppose Pauline and friends had better things to do than to examine Isaiah 43:10 in light of LDS theology.

Does God have a God and a grandfather God? Mormon.org chat with Sandra - 11.25.08

In this three-minute desktop video, the same basic question is examined as above. Does Mormonism believe in multiple deities and if God has a God and a grandfather God and a great-grandfather God and so on?

Sandra states that little is known on the subject and suggests that I pray about it.

God must have sinned

Aaron Shafovaloff's website http://godneversinned.com inspired the idea to ask Mormons at Mormon.org if God could have been a sinner. In this short clip, Nate, a rep. of the LDS church states that God was a man who at one point must have sinned.

Mormon.org Chat, Nate on everlasting

Nate, a missionary for the LDS church, informs me that "everlasting" has another meaning. This is an example of continual LDS eisegesis, i.e. reading into the text that which doesn't exist or forcing a preconception upon the Bible that God never intended. God is not being ambiguous when he inspired the Psalmist to convey to us that He is "from everlasting to everlasting." Infinite. No beginning, no end. Yet, LDS theology would have us believe that God was once a man (or "like" a man) who once wasn't God but "progressed" to the station or status of a God by obedience to LDS (Mormon) laws, ordinances and principles. .....

It was pure coincidence that I got to chat with Nate again. Divine meeting? :-)

P.S. I hope you're reading, Nate. God bless you richly.

"Jesus' blood on the altar was the ultimate payment. He made us worthy permanently. When Jesus died on the cross the veil covering the Holy of Holies tore in half. The mercy seat lay exposed to mankind. There is no veil, anymore, between God and man. Jesus ripped it down. But Mormonism has hung up a new one." -Kathleen Baldwin

"I found myself buried under a mountain of doubt, after really investigating church doctrine and church history...and getting myself more familiar with the Bible. It was too much. I finally came out from under all of that and embraced Jesus Christ alone, which is all we really need. I was sad to leave the church. Very sad...but, relieved and happy to find my Savior in the process." More...

He Gave You Jesus - by Justjo

"Counterfeit, fake, bogus, imitation, forgery, fraud, copy.... We all recognize these words, as well as understand their meaning. There are many counterfeits out there. If they were easy to detect, they would not be called counterfeits. God gave us these wonderful books in the Bible to test these counterfeits. This is where we find our markers to detect them. The Holy Spirit does not contradict Gods word...." More...
